I am a high graded Driving Instructor, approved by the DSA, with a good pass rate. I am also an Advanced Driver and a member of the DIA.  

I am based in Cranbrook near Tunbridge Wells and cover a large part of the TN postcode. I provide PROFESSIONAL, RELAXED AND FUN driving lessons as well as PASS PLUS, assessment and refresher courses.

I'm also keen to help those who have already passed their test improve their skills. An update from a professional instructor may help your confidence, make you even safer and could save you money on insurance.

My lessons are always INTERACTIVE and build on a base of positive attitude and decision making, whilst developing your skills and building your confidence: My goal being, not just to help you pass your test but to teach you safe driving for life. Whilst having FUN!

I always try to be flexible and pupil orientated with my teaching methods and try to make sure the lesson is something you look forward to.  I am always patient and professional, something that The Big Red L Company tries to instil in all its instructors. 

Although I have passed all the necessary qualifications to become an Approved Driving Instructor, I feel it is important to continue with my own professional development and improve my own skills. In addition I am always seeking out new ways to gain a deeper understanding of the teaching process and make our lessons progressive.

Most of my career life has been spent working with people on a one to one basis, but it's driver training that gives me a real buzz.  I feel I am in a privileged position being able to pass on a real life skill.

I have chosen the new shape Ford Fiesta 1.4 as my tuition vehicle, a car well suited to the novice driver but with enough power to support you as you progress towards independence. Fitted with dual controls of course! It's not too big either, so those manoeuvres shouldn't be a problem!

If asked what makes me tick outside work, well, I love to get out on my Triumph and explore the Kent & Sussex countryside or you might find me at Brands Hatch watching the racing!  I have twenty eight years experience as a motorcyclist and it still puts a grin on my face! Biking is also great for honing your hazard perception skills!!

On Saturday you may find me supporting my local rugby team, Cranbrook, if I'm not working of course!

My girlfriend and I like to explore France and enjoy visiting Cape Cod in New England.

Do I have any secrets?  I once cooked for Patsy Kensit and I have taken a stroll down the King's Road in Chelsea, with Kylie Minogue. That's all I'm saying!
